Delete your DoWeDontWe account
In the app (quickest)
- Open DoWeDontWe and tap your avatar (top right of Home) to open Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.
Without the app
If you've already removed the app or can't open it, email us and we'll delete your account for you — usually within a few days and always within 30 days. We'll confirm by email when it's done. So we can find the right account, please include:
- the email address of the Google or Apple account you signed in with, if you signed in;
- your display name in DoWeDontWe;
- the name of one room you're in (or its invite code).

If you never signed in with Google or Apple, your account was tied to the phone it was made on. We'll use your display name and room to find it; if we can't be sure it's yours, we'll ask a question only the account's owner would know.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (display name, avatar) and settings (favourite rooms, quick links, music app, blocked people).
- Your membership of every room. Any room where you were the only member is deleted with everything in it; in shared rooms you ran, another member becomes admin.
- Your sign-in account.
What stays
- Things you added to shared rooms (links, comments, votes) stay as part of the group's record, but your name and avatar are no longer shown on them.
- Safety reports involving your account are kept for up to 12 months, or longer if the law requires.
- Crash reports and usage statistics are kept by Google for up to 14 months and aren't linked to your name.
